Picture two trees in your mind
Imagination forest behind your eyes
These two tree aren't the same
That's just the way that trees are made
They stood and grew and did their do
Purified around them too
Became spectacular alone
A storm came in, destroyed their home
Love to hear what you say - first thing every day
Repeated precious phrase - it's the poem of our way
Rise into the ground - this is somewhere safe
We're together - time to play
The trees caught wind, began to fall
As often Nature says, "That's all"
But these two fell at the same time
A balanced point midst of decline
The were gone to where winds go
Perhaps these two trees said, "Hello"
Supporting and thus stabilized
And did their best to stay entwined
Champagne at the golden hour
Holding hands - ignited sips
Sounds of strings cathedral walls
radiation fingertips
"Another Silver Morning"
"Endless Column", You & I
Let's live our lives like the Redwoods
Somewhere we can see the sky
These two trees among so many
Contributed with all they could
They grew and became one another
And bore the signs of bad and good
Each day has a sunrise and unknown
Variations infinite
It comes down not to what you're given
But what you can make of it
Somewhere on this map we're holding
Maybe we will find these trees
Let's ask questions, get answers and see what we can see
